I arrived this morning at the theatre at 8am. The lock was too rusted to use the key, so I called the realtor. She said it might be a while, so I looked around a little and snapped a few photos outside.
About an hour later, a man named Sal finally arrived with an extension ladder. He managed to climb in through a broken 2nd story window and then he opened the loading dock door.
When I got inside, it was dark and a little creepy. An old honky-tonk piano was onstage, with the full ashtray still resting on top of it.
Sal managed to pry the entrance door open once we were inside. Then I spent the morning sweeping the stage and clearing debris from around the electrical boxes. Surprisingly, the exit sign still works, all it needed was a bulb.
Even though I had a rough start, today was a productive day. I will say: I most certainly have my work cut out for me!
Love it!! The pictures are incredible...
Ooooo I’m hooked
